Choosing a hair stylist and makeup artist for your wedding is not an easy task. Once I found Melissa, I knew that she had to do my wedding!
I've been searching for years for a hair stylist in Chicago that could do the perfect swoop bang. A friend recommended Melissa at Abeille Beauty and after my first cut I was hooked. I showed her pictures of the bangs that I wanted and she did an amazing job replicating them as well as giving me a fabulous cut. I knew that she would be able to do elegant up-dos for me and my bridesmaids for the big day. I was so pleased with my hair cut, that I had total confidence in Melissa's recommendation for my makeup artist.

I met with Melissa and Chrissy for my trials and they came up with some great ideas for the big day. On the day of the wedding, Melissa opened the salon an hour early to accommodate my 1:00 wedding. Chrissy did a phenomenal job on my makeup. I'm very fair skinned and she knew exactly what to do to give my face and décolletage color but still maintaining my skin tone which can be an impossible feat. I would not hesitate to call Chrissy for future events. Once it was time to start my hair, the jitters started as well as the RAIN!, but Melissa (who was recently married in Chicago) calmed me down and got to work. We made a few revisions to the style we decided on at the trail and Melissa created something that was truly stunning! I was completely blown away! When I got my pictures back, I really got to see what a great job they both did. I could not have asked for more professional and talented people to help me glam it up for my big day. Melissa is a gem. She came with a strong recommendation for bridal hair from a family friend who has great taste. Melissa and Kelly did my hair as well as the hair for all my bridesmaids. They did a FANTASTIC job.

Since then, I have gone to Melissa for my hair cut. I moved back to Chicago from the East Coast a few years ago and hadn't found a stylist I really liked. Having hopped around between well known salons, I approached Melissa this past summer after she did a successful up-do for my wedding. I was equally as pleased with my haircut. She paid close attention to what I wanted, provided gentle recommendations for how I could improve upon my vision, and then followed my request to include some of her ideas or not. I have found my Chicago stylist!

I strongly recommend Melissa and her team for weddings and I also strongly recommend Melissa for styling. I was impressed with her styling skills and business sense. She doesn't mess around and takes her work seriously.

For all the brides to be out there, pay attention! Abeille Beauty is the best place to go for hair and make- up! This place is new and we took a chance on the bridal service, and they really came through in a big way!

Melissa, the owner, worked on all the up-do’s for the girls. She got everyone right from the first try. The bride wore a birdcage net which turned out to be too short to wear over the face. Melissa figured out a way to use it by placing it in the back. She looked amazing! All the ladies at the wedding and on the street were stopping to look at her hair. I was in the bridal party and had clip-on extensions put in. I was so happy with my look and liked it a lot better than my own bridal up-do from a couple of years ago. The mothers loved their hair, and the flower girls' hair lasted through the night. We all had our make- up done at the salon, and all of us loved the make up from the beginning.

My main concern all along was fear of an outdated look, both for hair and make- up, but these ladies know what they are doing. The look was very contemporary and feminine. My other concern was timing and whether they could manage all of us in time. The girls worked as a team--one person was prepping for Melissa, one was doing the make- up, and Melissa was completing the up-dos and styling. There were 6 adults in our party and 2 little flower girls. They finished in time to let us get on with the rest of our day.

I will keep recommending this place to all the brides that I will be meeting in the future, and I hope that those that take a chance leave as happy as we did.

Melissa has been doing my hair for years now (10+) so when I set a date for my wedding I HAD to have her be the one to do it for my special day. Little did we know at the time, Melissa would be getting married the day after my wedding so her own rehearsal dinner was on the exact same day as my wedding. Not only did she still do my hair but she also did my sister's (the MOH), my mother's, and numerous other members of our bridal party's. We all could not have been happier with our hair and were so amazed that Melissa was still willing to do it for us with her own wedding being literally the very next day! I think that by the time she was finally through dolling all of us up she had only about 25 minutes to make herself over and get to her own rehearsal dinner but she was determined to make sure that we were 100 % satisfied and in love with the work she had done before she left that day. And believe me, we more than were and for that I cannot say thank you enough. I would more than recommend Melissa and all the girls at Abeille Beauty and Bridal to everyone not just for their wedding day but for all of their hair and beauty needs. They are definitely the bees knees! Pun intended :)

I knew Melissa was the only choice for me when I needed to get my hair done for my wedding. She has an amazing sense of style and was able to help me bring my entire look to life for the big day. She completely understood what I was looking for, but I have to say it came out even better than I could have imagined. I felt beautiful the entire day and when I look back on my wedding photos, my hair looked great from all different angles. Melissa also styled my bridesmaids who all loved their different looks.
